The Last Waltz

So I am sitting here on a nice summer Tuesday night, of course couldn’t find anything on TV. But then I came on Flix the Bands “The Last Waltz” movie. Fore anyone who doesn’t know that this is a move, actually a documentary about the Bands last show together in 1977, the movie is directed by Martin Scoresese, it is mostly the show with some interviews between songs. The concert is not just then on stage but may people they played with over the years, the likes of Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Neil Diamond and Van Morrison. They play a lot of the Bands song and the other peoples. I have seen this movie a couple of times in the past, actually own it to, but have to say sitting here watching has really made me appreciate it even more. The music is just incredible. Have to say I have always enjoyed the Band, they are probably one of the most underrated performers in rock history. They have some great songs, Up in Cripple Creek, Ophelia, The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down, etc… will admit have some of them on my ipod and do listen to them quite often, and after watching this will probably be downloading more, another reason to love that Ipod. So have to recommend this for anyone who likes some good old rock music, It gets the Q seal of approval!!
