UNH-Providence- Play Off Game 1

Well seems the real UNH team showed up tonight, a solid 4-0 win. A very well balanced team effort tonight. The team came out firing on all cylinders tonight. It seems had to believe Providence out shot the Cats 42- 26. I honestly don’t think Providence had that many shots on net, if they did they were not quality shots. Out of the 26 shots UNH got have to say most were quality shots. I do have to say I was kind of right when I said the second line would step up. The Smith line started tonight which left the McFlicker line to be the #2 line, they had 7 points and plus 9, not a shabby night. Was impressed with the D tonight, they didn’t come in to often on offense like they had been, they played a very discipline game. The were so much hustle going on tonight from the forwards, Collins, Fortney, McFlicker and especially Pollastrone were flying tonight. Pollastrone seemed to flying by everyone tonight. Regan was solid in net tonight, good to see him get the shut out. Didn’t have to make many big saves, been when he had to he did, and let up very few rebounds all night.
So what can we expect Friday night? I believe the team will come out flying again. I believe they will come out with a killer instinct and wanting to put Providence away. Of course Providence will not lie down, I see them trying to get more quality shots and tightening up their defense. If UNH can come out and get an early lead it will make Providence play with some desperation, and might lead to more offensive chances.
Here is hoping for another solid 60 minutes and putting Providence behind up and moving onto the Fleet.
